Founded by quarterback and coach Jon Kaker, LA Showtime Flag Football brings together athletes who believe growing older doesn’t mean giving up on your dreams. From Los Angeles to tournaments around the world, the team keeps making room for competition, friendship, and adventure alongside the responsibilities of adult life. Through international flag football, quarterback POV footage, and the ShowTime Island series, LA Showtime shares the work, joy, and possibility of continuing to chase something you love—and hopes to inspire others to keep showing up for their own dreams.

Athlete spotlight

Kapri Bibbs

Kapri Bibbs is a Super Bowl 50 champion and former NFL running back who brings championship experience and explosive playmaking to LA Showtime. At Colorado State in 2013, he set school records with 1,741 rushing yards and 31 rushing touchdowns, sharing the national lead in rushing scores.

Bibbs joined the Denver Broncos in 2014 as an undrafted free agent and was part of their Super Bowl 50 championship team, serving on the practice squad during that postseason. Across 28 NFL games with Denver, Washington, and Green Bay, he totaled 629 yards from scrimmage and six touchdowns. His vision, versatility, and professional experience now bring another dimension to the flag football field.

Jon Kaker

Jon Kaker is the founder, general manager, and quarterback of LA Showtime Flag Football. He leads the team’s international competition and storytelling, bringing together athletes, travel, and the fast-growing game of flag football as it moves toward its Olympic debut in Los Angeles 2028.

Miriah Lopez

Miriah Lopez is an international flag football champion, a Pylon Flag Football MVP, and a member of the LA Showtime family. From competing on the international stage to sharing the game with the next generation in Hangzhou, she brings skill, leadership, and a love for growing football wherever she plays.

Ensenada, Mexico · Tochella

LA Showtime traveled to Tochella on the July 4th weekend in 2024, 2025 and 2026. In 2025, Kaker faced Peng and Dhop after they joined Pericos, then came back to beat them by three scores.

OCTOBER 22–28, 2024

Hangzhou, China · IFFC · Team USA

After winning the Las Vegas men’s five-on-five non-contact regionals with a three-woman offense, LA Showtime was invited by NFL China and selected to represent the United States as Team USA in co-ed. The subsidized trip ended with a 6–0 record, first place and the cash prize. Powered by NFL FLAG Adult.

Tijuana, Mexico · Spring Bowl

At Tecate in 2025, LA Showtime finished second after losing to Strawberries. The team returned for the August 16 weekend in 2026.

Panama City, Panama · Panama Bowl · Lindavista Wildcats

At Panama Bowl in Panama City, LA Showtime played with the Lindavista Wildcats and finished third before facing Panama City’s national team, the Windmakers, in the semifinal. The team recalls disputed calls and home-field advantage. The trip also began a friendship with Puerto Rico’s national team.

JANUARY 31, 2026 WEEKEND

Acapulco, Mexico · Aca Bowl · Lindavista Wildcats

At Aca Bowl in Acapulco, Mexico, LA Showtime played with the Lindavista Wildcats and finished fifth. The lineup included Kaker, Peng, Dhop and Plug.

FEBRUARY 7, 2026 WEEKEND

Medellín, Colombia · Latino Bowl · Puerto Rico National Team & Los Nenes

Joined Puerto Rico’s national team and Los Nenes for a neutral-site rematch with Panama City’s Windmakers. Matt Peng was named MVP after a game-changing tip-back. LA Showtime went 5–1, finished first and defeated the Windmakers, ending their tournament-winning streak of more than two years.

FEBRUARY 14, 2026 WEEKEND

Pattaya, Thailand · Ready for Play · Sheisty Buffalos

Kaker teamed with the Sheisty Buffalos, U.S. military players stationed in Japan. The team finished in the top 16 of 64, including a win over India’s national team.

Ixmiquilpan, Mexico · Sirena Bowl

At Parque Acuático Dios Padre, Kaker reunited with Leilani Lopez, his first Elite National deep-ball receiver, after their iFlag PCB Worlds ’21 championship run. After a strong weekend, LA Showtime finished second in co-ed. Kaker pulled his groin in the semifinal, which limited him in the championship game.

London, United Kingdom · Flagapalooza · Dutch Mambas

Kaker, Plug and Dhop beat the Irish national team in a semifinal thriller and finished second.
